Why?
At the time I was working on this project, my home country of Mozambique had been hit by a devastating hurricane called “Idai”. I saw an opportunity to honour what was happening, while still making an interesting game. The game also had only one mechanic, which makes very accessible.
Description
Ia and Di is an isometric puzzle game, inspired by Monument Valley. The player moves objects/platforms to create pathways for the characters. The game takes place in two different times, one character trying to reach safety from a hurricane and flood, the other seeing what has happened to the world after it. The game is metaphorical.
