Goals/Challenges

I was the Lead Programmer for this project, so I had to check and test any code made by others

 
  • Creating a adaptive gravity first person controller

  • Adding a swimming mechanic to first person controller

  • 3D modelling and texturing the trench

  • Working in a team, of varying skillsets

 
  • 3D modelling various assets

  • Creating an event trigger tool

  • Creating an outline shader around pickable objects

  • Transition functionality and effect

 

Why?

This project was mainly to do with modelling. As a team we wanted to try and create an open environment, with areas we could incorporate our own gameplay challenges. The interesting part about an island is we could work on natural shapes when modelling, as a team with varying skills, it gave us all opportunities to challenge ourselves, level design wise.

Description

Ship B’ Cursed is a First-Person linear narrative game, where you play as a thief that has stolen treasure from a ship, thought to be abandoned. The ship is haunted by a pirate and has now landed on the island you call home. The player is tasked with returning his treasure, quickly to find out the pirate only wants his locket, which is possessed by his dead wife.
